AULC SIGs Governance and Monitoring Framework

A. SIG Charter and Roles

1. Purpose: SIGs are set up to enable collaborative work on key areas of need
among the AULC members that are not met otherwise through other avenues.

2. Deliverables: 1 collaborative annual output – report, resources, toolkit or
paper to be published on the AULC website

3. Constitution: SIG co-leads, with a 3-year term length of office with possible
extension and signed up members.

4. Meeting cadence: minimum of 2-3 meetings per academic year; open to all
SIG members; annual online meeting sharing SIGs work to the wider AULC
membership.

5. Review: the AULC executive committee reviews each SIG at the end of 3
years; depending on needs analysis and activity SIGs may be continued with
roles advertised or extended.

B. SIG Formation

1. New SIGs may be proposed every year ahead of the February Executive
committee meeting following the AULC annual conference in January and
ahead of the Executive committee meeting at the beginning of July.

2. Any AULC member may propose a new SIG. It will require support from at
least 10 members of the AULC and endorsement from one member of exec.

3. Proposals should be sent to AULC (contact@aulc.org) including the
following information:

Detail the key areas of need among AULC members that this SIG will
address, which are not currently met through other avenues.

Proposed Deliverables and Outputs:

SIGs are required to produce at least 1 collaborative annual output
(e.g., report, resources, toolkit, discussion paper) to be published on
the AULC website. What is your planned output for Year 1?

Supporting AULC Members

Please list the names and work emails of at least 10 AULC members
who support the formation of this SIG.

C. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

ups, activities delivered, etc.
